As of yesterday 21st of August, there is no indication of volcanic activity in Meradalir and no volcanic tremor has been detected since. Some degassing is still ongoing from the lava field and the main crater. The activity might resume anytime and the IMO continues monitoring the area closely. Because of this low level of activity the aviation color code has been moved from orange to yellow.
