The aviation color code is currently on yellow due to an intense seismic swarm on the Reykjanes peninsula. Update: The seismic activity is most intense in the area of the 2021 dyke that formed before the March-Sept 2021 eruption in Geldingadalir, Fagradalsfjall, and west of mt. Thorbjorn, where an intrusion activity was detected in Dec 2021, and near Lake Kleifarvatn. The swarm is at currently estimated at 3-6km depth. Several earthquakes of M>=4 have occurred, and one 5.4 event at 17:48 on 31 July. A M4.0 earthquake has also occurred SV of Lake Kleifarvatn, at 08:02 1 Aug.
